FAIL SMALL TO SUCCEED BIG!

Successful failure can become an important part of living a full and successful life. Every significant new venture, new skill learned, or exciting opportunity pursued will bring with it the likelihood of experiencing short-term failures along the way. These setbacks can become important building blocks of success. Learn to be on the lookout for ways to use The Power of Failure everyday to live a more prosperous, productive, and peaceful life.

One way to increase your success in your work and life is to master the principle of failing small to succeed big. This wise approach is based on viewing every failure as the foundation for a larger success. Obviously, when we make a small mistake on some activity or task, we can learn from the experience to accomplish greater success later. If we muff a golf shot from a sand trap, we can study what happened.

Learning how we can make better shots from sand traps in the future can help us progress toward being an accomplished golfer.
One important point is that what defines a failure as small is relative. The key is to view failures, even ones that seem relatively large at the time, as smaller stepping-stones toward larger successes.

When you face pending or actual failure, study it from all angles and take an attitude that the current situation reflects a relatively small cost that will somehow contribute to a larger success. Then work to apply whatever benefits can be gained from the failure to creating future success. While this strategy will not guarantee that your current setback will lead to a larger success, it should increase the probability of this result significantly.

Once again we find ourselves face to face with the importance of failure for success. To become more and more successful, learn the important art of tapping into failures, no matter their size, for even larger successes. When this view is mastered, most of the failures that you experience will take on a whole new light—they will simply become opportunities to fail small to succeed big. Use failures, whatever their size, to achieve even larger success.
